About the Event
$5. Long hike: 10 mi., 2100 ft. ascent. Moderate hike: 6½ mi., 1450 ft. ascent.
We will ascend the summit from the West Parking area, going first to the summit and then following a loop along the Blue, Yellow, Purple, and White trails. Long hikers will diverge from the moderate hikers by taking a wider swath on some of the trails, but both hikes will include the vista at White Rocks, with extensive views of Frederick Valley and the Monocacy River floodplain.
