$5. Long hike: 13.5 mi., 1500 ft. ascent. Moderate hike: 10.5 mi., 800 ft. ascent.
The lake is one of the largest in the state, stretching 17.5 miles long and 1.5 miles wide, with some 200 miles of shoreline. We will take state park trails through woods, meadows and past abandoned mines. All hikers will start at the Sawtooth Parking Lot. Moderate hikers will take the following trails: Sawtooth, Pigeon Run, Mill Pond, Turkey Run, Big Woods, Glenora and Old Pond to the Lake Anna Beach area. Long hikers will add Gold Hill, Cedar Run and Railroad Ford loops to the moderate hike.
