$5. Long hike: up to 9.5 mi., 1000 ft. ascent/descent. Moderate hike: 7 mi., 1400 ft. ascent/descent.
This hike is conveniently located in town and will end early enough so that there will be time to enjoy Christmas evening festivities. The 1,754-acre park – one of the largest urban parks in the world – boasts 32 miles of wooded trails. We’ll walk to the park via the Melvin Hazen Trail, Western Ridge Trail, Valley Trail, and several connecting trails.
