$26 & bring park pass if you have one. Morning hike options: 4½ miles with 1200 ft. ascent/descent, or 6½ mi. with 1700 ft. ascent/descent. Optional afternoon hike: 5 mi. with 800 ft. ascent, 600 ft. descent.

For history, explore the town itself, a National Historical Park. For more hiking and history, opt for the afternoon trip to the Murphy-Chambers Farm Area, site of a Civil War Battle.
