$26 plus parking fee or pass. Long hike: 11½ mi., 2600 ft. ascent/descent. Short hike: up to 8½ mi., up to 1600 ft. ascent/descent.
Starting at Hogback Overlook on the Skyline Drive in the park’s North District, we’ll descend the Sugarloaf Trail. Moderate hikers then take the Pole Bridge Link Trail and Keyser Run Fire Rd. to Bolen Cemetery, and retrace their steps. Long hikers reach the cemetery via the Pole Bridge Link Trail, Piney Branch Upper and Hull School Trails.. After another stretch on the Hull School Trail, they’ll climb Little Devil Stairs and return to Hogback Overlook on Pole Bridge Link Trail and Sugarloaf Trail back to Hogback Overlook.
