$36. Long hike: 10 mi., 2300 ft. ascent (add 0.5 miles and 270 feet for option). Moderate hike: 7 mi., 1500 ft. ascent (add 1.1 miles and 470 feet for option).
They have the option of taking the spur trail and brief rock scramble to the summit of Duncan Knob. They hike west to Scothorn Gap Trail and go south to the junction with the Massanutten Trail. They then take the Massanutten Trail south to the connector trail and parking lot near Massanutten Visitor Center. Moderate hikers will begin at the parking area on Crisman Hollow Rd. and take the Gap Creek Trail to the Duncan Knob spur with the option of taking the spur trail to Duncan Knob. They will head east to the Duncan Hollow Trail and continue south along the Massanutten Trail and connector trail to the parking lot near the Visitor Center.
