About the Event
$26. Long hike: 11½ mi., 2000 ft. ascent, 2200 ft. descent. Moderate hike: 8½ mi., 1600 ft. ascent, 2000 ft. descent.
Long hikers hit the AT at its crossing of Rt. 34 and head north, climbing over Trents Hill and then following the route of the moderate hikers, who start at Rt. 94. We’ll all traverse aptly named Rocky Ridge (outstanding views make up for the rocky footing), pass by Center Point Knob, and end in Boiling Springs. If time allows we’ll stop at Peters Orchards for fresh produce.
