We venture today to a distant (for us) section of the Appalachian Trail in Pennsylvania we rarely visit. Our trek begins north of Pine Grove State when long hikers hit the trail where it crosses Rt. 94 and head north. Moderate hikers join them at Rt. 34, and we all continue north, climbing Trents Hill, traversing Rocky Ridge (aptly named), passing Center Point Knob, and ending in the town of Boiling Spring. If time allows we’ll stop at Peters Orchards for fresh produce.
