This hike goes along the peak just south of Manassas Gap, where the views are best seen when the foliage has begun to fall, and afterwards passes along one of the most elaborate shelters on the entire Appalachian Trail.

About the Event
$36. Long hike: 9 mi., 2000 ft. ascent. Moderate hike: 6 mi., 1400 ft. ascent.
Moderate hikers will go to the Denton Shelter and then return, while the long hikers go up to the Mosby campground before turning back. Afterwards we will visit one of the numerous local wineries in Virginia’s famed vinicultural area.
