About the Event

$36. Long hike: 9½ mi. Moderate hike: 6½ mi. Minimal elevation gain for both hikes.

It is one of the best-preserved Civil War battlefields: visitors will view a landscape that has altered little since 1862, when the battle occurred. All hikers will take the Cornfield Trail and the West Wood Trail. They will then pass through the “Bloody Lane” and proceed along the Three Farms Trail and Union Advance Trail to the Burnside Bridge. Long hikers will take an additional loop at the bridge along the Snavely Farm and Final Attack Trails.
