This hike, a bit shorter than some of our hikes, follows the Appalachian Trail south of Manassas Gap, where the AT crosses under I-66 near Marshall, VA.

About the Event
$36. Long hike: 9 mi., 2000 ft. elevation gain. Moderate hike: 6 mi., 1400 ft. elevation gain.
The hike is mostly in woods, while the Trumbo Hollow meadow offers long views from open fields. Moderate hikers will go to the Jim and Molly Denton Shelter, one of the most elaborate shelters on the entire Appalachian Trail, and then return. Long hikers continue to the Mosby primitive campsite before heading back. Afterwards we will visit Blue Valley Vineyard and Winery with "award-winning wines, along with breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains."
