Capital Hiking Club hikes 52 weeks a year!

For complete information on our convenient bus departure schedule, please review our general information below, which follows information on our MD Bus and VA Bus pick up locations. All times are approximate departure times; hikers should arrive 10-15 minutes earlier to avoid missing the bus.

MD Bus
Bus departs from 16th and I (Eye) Streets, NW, Washington DC (two blocks north of the White House), at 8:00 AM, and continues to:

National Cathedral Area - Wisconsin Avenue and Woodley Road, departing at approximately 8:10 AM; then continues to:

Near Chevy Chase, MD - Friendship Heights Metro Stop (Western Avenue/East side exit), departing at approximately 8:20 AM; then continues to:

Bethesda, MD - across from Bethesda Metro Stop (northeast corner of East-West Highway and Wisconsin) (by request only--no stop here unless the hike leader has confirmed reservations), departing at approximately 8:25 AM; then continues to:

Rockville / North Bethesda, MD - Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Station - bus shelter nearest to Metro Station entrance between Metro Station and parking garage (Wisconsin Avenue / Rockville Pike / Rt. 355 exit off I-495), departing at approximately 8:35 AM.

VA Bus
Bus departs from 16th and I (Eye) Streets, NW, Washington DC (two blocks north of the White House) at 8:00 AM, and continues to:

Rosslyn - Key Bridge Marriott Hotel Bus Stop (south side of Key Bridge Marriott, facing Rt. 29 / Lee Highway), departing at approximately 8:10 AM; then continues to:

Vienna - Vienna Metro Station at the North Lot, Fair Lakes Shelter (exit from Interstate 66, north on Nutley Street /Rt. 243, left on Virginia Center Blvd.), departing at approximately 8:25 AM; then continues to:

Centreville - Park and Ride Lot (Route 29 and Stone Road), departing at approximately 8:45 AM. - BY RESERVATION ONLY. No stop here unless the hike leader has confirmed reservations.
